Southern IL District Video Catalog

DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF THE CATALOG

The Southern Illinois District Audiovisual Catalog is designed so items can be found in two ways: alphabetically according to title and, secondly, according to category (subject matter).

The index of our audiovisual resource catalog has the following information: title of item, category (subject matter), code number (which you will use to order the audiovisual item), and the page on which that item can be found for a brief description of the material. The following abbreviations are used to indicate the type of resources available:

  • ACT -  Audio Cassette Tape

  • PR -   Printed

  • F -  Film

  • VT -  Video Tape

  • FS -  Filmstrip

The listing of audiovisual items according to category (subject matter) will have the following information: title of the item, brief description of the item, length, and code number. The letters in the code number will indicate what type of media the item is according to the abbreviations above. The categories are as listed:

Church Extension

Education

Evangelism

Missions

Older Adult Ministry

Public Relations

Recruitment

Social Ministry

Special Education

Stewardship

Youth

You can read through these category listings when you wish to see everything we have in a certain subject matter.

Each year it is hoped we will add new items to our catalog. If your congregation or organization would like to donate money to help purchase additional audiovisual items, please send your check to the District Office, designating it for the Audiovisual Resource Library. Also, a new index will be sent to you each year along with updated information to insert in your catalog.

You may reserve material by calling the District Office. At the present time, there is no charge for this service except the cost of return postage. It is our policy that you return the materials to the District Office within two weeks unless other arrangements have been made. Materials checked out in your name should not be loaned to other individuals without notifying the District Office. YOU are responsible for returning all materials to the District Office checked out in your name. If the material becomes defective while in use, please indicate the problem when you return it. If you know of quality audiovisual material you feel our District should purchase, please let us hear from you.
