Bob Streuter Memorial Golf Tournament

Dear Supporter of the Bob Streuter Memorial Golf Tournament,

You may recall receiving our letter in May stating that it was necessary to postpone the Bob Streuter Memorial Golf Tournament that was scheduled on Saturday, June 13th. At that time, our committee decided to provide some time for the COVID 19 Pandemic to subside and allow us to complete the tournament at a later date. Although we are still dealing with COVID 19, there has been some changes that have allowed tournaments to take place with some modifications.

We recently met with the Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course Manager and after that meeting, our committee determined to go ahead with our tournament while following guidelines that are currently in place. We encourage face masks when social distancing is not possible, however the course has also used guidelines inside the club house to meet social distancing rules. Aside from following the state guidelines, there are some changes that we will be making that will help us with things like social distancing, etc.

We are recommending the following changes:

  • Registration forms are enclosed. We ask that you send in your form with a check or checks for your entire team. We will not be collecting any money the day of the tournament. Return your form by September 19th.

  • Please provide an e-mail, phone number and address of the Team Captain. We will use this method of communicating in the event the tournament would need to be changed or cancelled. The Team Captain can then advise his team of any changes.

  • We will not be having a formal dinner at the end of the tournament. We will offer a box lunch that can be consumed inside the club house, out side the club house, or taken with you when you leave.

  • We will still offer flighting, skins, mulligans, closest to the pin, and longest drives. Those winners will be announced by our communication with the Team Captains and their winnings will be mailed out to them using the address given on the form.

We appreciate your willingness to join us on Saturday, October 3rd. By participating in this tournament, you are supporting those young people who are studying to dedicate their lives to full time ministry. We pray that this Pandemic will soon be lifted and that we can return to our normal tournament next year on June 12, 2021.
