Thank you from Unity!

The 2020-21 theme at Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School in East St. Louis was “Walking Together In Christ.” Unity started in 2003 as a mission project of the Southern Illinois District. We praise God for 18 years of ministry and making a difference in the lives of the students and their families.

We praise God that we were able to be open and in-person all year. How exciting it is to tell you that on May 20, we graduated our 10th class of eighth graders (pictured above). Wow! What a tremendous blessing from God to be able to watch this group of eighth graders walk the stage. Many of these eighth-grade students came to us 11 years ago in our pre-K3 class.

They will join the other 141 Unity graduates and move on to high school this fall. We have had 76 of these graduates finish high school already, and the remaining 65 are working hard in various high schools in the area. All of our eligible grads have graduated from high school, a statistic we are very proud of. Many have gone on to college and trade schools. Some have graduated and are into their careers. Others are serving in our military.

Unity has been making a difference in the lives of these students and families for almost 20 years, and we thank you for your support to keep this momentum going. We could not do what we do without your support … thank you! We are so grateful to the donors who support and share in the miracle that God is doing in East St. Louis.

The 2021-22 school year has begun, and we are excited for the new opportunities and challenges that the Lord has in store. We know that He will never leave us and never forsake us. If you are looking for some excitement and to be a blessing to someone, please join us and be a part of the miracle. You can visit us at unityesl.org and our Facebook page, or contact Rev.
